The Best Fruit Bars I've Eaten - That's It - You've Got to Try Them

Believe me, this is a beauty related post.  I was provided with some fruit bars to try and see what I thought of them.  They are called That's It fruit bars.  The name comes from the bars being loaded with fruit...and that's it!  No added sugars, no fats, no preservatives and no nuts for those with allergies.  Just fruit.  And we all need fruit to stay healthy and keep our beauty glow, so this is a good choice for me to review.

Each bar contains two full servings of fruit in one bar. Awesome as the USDA recommends in our new food graph, triangle, pie chart or whatever, that we get two to four servings of fruit per day. So for 100 calories, you've satisfied your hunger, the USDA, and gotten a tasty treat.

For anyone with food allergies or other dietary troubles, these bars are low on the Glycemic Index, they are Kosher, Vegan and Gluten Free and provide 3 grams of fiber per bar. They come in several different varieties.

The samples I received included a bar with 1 apple and 3 apricots, a bar with one apple and 10 cherries, and a bar with 1 apple and 1 pear. We received three of each flavor, a generous amount to sample. I like fruit in all forms, so I enjoyed these bars. They were like eating dried fruit only better. The apple and apricot was my favorite. Those are my two favorite fruits anyway, and they didn't disappoint.

I found these bars to be satisfying, and a great snack. The fiber is always a benefit and I enjoyed these so much that I started craving them. CRAVING them. My son and my husband sampled the bars as well and were heavily quizzed as to their opinions. I can't get my husband to eat a piece of fruit no matter how hard I try; I always figured he'd end up with scurvy. But he really liked the fruit bars! He said he could eat them regularly and that is a ringing endorsement from someone who doesn't enjoy eating a piece of fruit on it's own. His favorite was the apple and cherry bar, but liked all of them. My son is 16 and is a fruit eater but he didn't' care for the apple/cherry bar...just personal preference.

I really loved the That's It fruit bars. I like to snack and these are perfect for me. They can be found at Amazon.com and That's It Fruit.  The bars retail for $19.99 for a box of 12 of one type or you can order the variety pack of three flavors for $21.18.  Check out their website for more information and a delicious treat.
