Wet N Wild Earth Looks Small From Down Here Color Icon Eyeshadow Trio Swatches, Pictures & Review

A couple of days ago,  I was able to secure the last of the Wet N Wild Dream Weavers Collection Eyeshadow Trios.  It is my goal in life to wear each and show you their glory of color.  Today I have for you the trio called Earth Looks Small From Down Here.  Isn't that name a crack-up?

The palette features three colors which are labeled in a way that suggests placement for each color; browbone, crease and eyelid. Each trio also contains a sponge applicator and a little brush. On the back is a visual suggestion of placement for the shades.

The browbone shade in this palette is a shimmering olive toned wheat. The crease is a lightly shimmered navy and the eyelid shade is a green that leans a little toward aqua. Here's some swatches on my hand. Everytime I use or swatch these, I am amazed at the amount of pigmentation in these Color Icon Eyeshadow Trios and how silky they are. Truly amazing. Especially for just $2.99!!

So let's take a look at the visuals of wearing it. I took pictures inside and outside and none of them really do it justice. As I went about my day, I got compliments on my shadow. The MA at the Mac counter said "I know what you're wearing", and I told her no, I don't think you do. She pulled out one of their latest shadows and said it's this one. I told her no, this is a new trio from Wet N Wild. The shocked look on her face was priceless.

My placement of the shades was a little different than suggested. I put the navy crease shade on the lid and the browbone shade at the inner most part of the eye and in the crease to browbone. Then I found when I patted some of the green on the lid, it really made it shine. It was fascinating. I lined with a Wet N Wild waterproof black liner. I thought I bought Navy but some goob mixed them all up. Dang it!

I did stray slightly from just this palette and brought in the middle shade from the Dancing In The Clouds trio, also part of the Dream Weavers Collection. It is a lightly pigmented violet which I used to help blend the crease and add some tone to it.

The next picture is at a bit of a different angle to show the sheen of the highlight shade.

Pair it with Nars Angelika blush and a Maybelline lipstick and you have something like this.

Grab these palettes while you can. They are appearing now all over the country at stores where Wet N Wild is sold. I find mine at Fred Meyer. I can't wait to see more people wearing these and how they mix and match.

  1. Love the blue from this palette! I actually went to Fred Meyer last night, again, to try to get all six of the palettes for a giveaway. I was only able to get 5 of them. They were out of the Dancing in the Clouds trio. I'll have to check back for it!
