Revlon Lovesick Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain Review and Swatches

Fight Like A Girl

This post, the first in my Fight Like A Girl, Fight To Win series is dedicated to my friend Carolyn. She was one of the smartest and most creative people that I've ever had the pleasure to know. She was a mother and wife, an aunt and friend, a daughter, a teacher, a coach and so much more. Carolyn was afflicted by this horrible disease and bravely faced her battle like the strongest of all warriors. She should have won many medals for her bravery. Her life was a HUGE, and I mean HUGE influence on many thousands of people. Ask about her...you'll hear nothing but good and how she molded young lives who wanted to emulate hers. She was truly a great woman who deserves to be honored in many ways, the least of which would be my humble attempt and my first to honor in a Breast Cancer Awareness series. God bless the loved ones Carolyn had no choice but to leave behind. She is missed beyond what is imaginable.

Today's proud pink is  Revlon Lovesick Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in the color of Lovesick. Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stains are a gel based lip color in a chubby pencil type of format. They leave a lovely stain on your lips as they wear so that you don't end up with that dreaded ring around the outer lip look.

Lovesick is a bright blue toned pink that has a smart blue micro-shimmer, giving it that hint of coolness.

You can see the micro shimmer in the photo below, with Lovesick being the Lip Balm Stain at the right, however, you won't notice it on your lips. It adds shine and undertone which is only brought out by the contrast of the camera's flash.

I find the Lip Balm Stains to be moisturizing within a few moments of application. I'm going to show you some lip swatches and where the flash hits, you see the blue toned shimmer, but honestly wearing it around, all I see is the shine of the color, not the micro-shimmers.

I really enjoy these for a quick and easy application of lip color. You can find them at any drugstore and also online at Drugstore.com for under $9 USD.  Many stores often have coupons and BOGO's so look for those as well.

The other two colors in the first two pictures, Romantic and Adore, will be blogged soon but in the meantime, I have other Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm stain swatched that you can review for color comparisons.    You can find Crush,  Sweetheart, Charm and Rendezvous here, and Honey at this location.
