Loreal Sultry Seductress Colour Riche Eye Shadow Quad Swatches & Review

When the new L'Oreal Colour Riche Eye Shadow quads started showing up in stores, I was really captivated by the wide array of colors. At just under $10 each, I wondered if the color combinations could substitute for some more expensive eye shadow quads. With all the different color combinations they have, plus the frequency of BOGO1/2, you could get a full rainbow of hues for far less than at the department store. As I pondered this idea, I felt I owed it to my readers to find out.

The first quad I'm going to review for you is the Sultry Seductress quad, pictured on the left in the following photo.

It contains taupe, off-white, violet and a black with silver sparkles. On the back of each quad are a suggestion for how to wear the colors.

The first three colors in this quad are shimmery. The black is a matte color with silver sparkles. I have two swatch pictures as I rolled my hand around so the light caught different aspects of the colors.

With application, I had a little bit of fallout from the black shade. It wasn't much nor was it bothersome. It was easily swept away and I've had far worse from other shadows in the past. I followed the basic outline on the back of the quad for the sake of blogging analysis.

So here's my bottom line: The shadows wore pretty well. I had them on about 6 hours before I washed them off. I noticed when I went to wash my face that the purple had faded. Most shadows I use don't have much fading at all so I was a bit surprised. The black liner, however, clung to my eye with superhero powers. I was pretty impressed with it. I had no creasing, but I also wouldn't expect creasing within 6 hours.

I've only worn it once so far and I bought several so I'm withholding my comments on whether to purchase these until after I wear some of the other ones and see what the wear time and/or creasing is with some of the other quads. I just need a little more data, but in the meantime, I wanted to show you what this quad looks like.

You can find L'Oreal products at any drugstore and online at Drugstore.com where they are currently $7.95 with a BOGO1/2.  You can purchase two for just $12!  And there are 20 sets to choose from!!  I like that.

Have you tried any of the new Colour Riche shadow quads yet?  Which is your favorite?
