It's got great sizes and colors of glitter. The micro mini particles are violet, gold and holographic. The larger particles are gold, violet, green and red. Is that not perfect for Mardi Gras or what?!?! Mardi Gras 2013 is February 12, so you have plenty of time to plan your manicure.
The three colors I used for the manicure were, from left to right, China Glaze Swanky Silk, Sation Miss Pro-Nup, and Opi Suzi & The 7 Dussledorfs. Swanky Silk is a gold with a hint of pink duochrome. Suzi & the 7 Dussledorfs is a red toned violet that matches the Sation glitter.

I used two coats of Swanky silk on three fingers and the thumb and two coats of Suzi on the ring finger for an accent nail. Miss Pro-Nup is in a thick suspension base which was awesome for holding the manicure together. I removed it after 7 days with hardly even any tip wear. Pretty amazing.
My camera was having a hard time focusing with all the activity on the nails. It wanted to focus mainly on the gold nails, so the purple is mostly out of focus but this gives you the idea.

I took another picture at the end of the 7 days. It's important to note that I was brutal on my nails during the week. I opened boxes and stickers with them...a manicure sin!!! And yet, they still looked great.

This was a fun holiday manicure that got a lot of compliments. If I lived in an area where they observe Mardi Gras, I would pick Sation Miss Pro-Nup to be part of that manicure for sure. I enjoyed this so much, I just had to show you. You can purchase Sation nail polish at TJ Maxx, or Marshalls, (where I found this one), or on their website.
Do you have Mardi Gras plans? Or plans for a Mardi Gras manicure?

*throws you beads*
ReplyDeleteHahahaha!! The one time I've been to NOLA, it was the week before Mardi Gras. I bought myself a whole bunch of beads to bring home and show my young teenager his successful I was, in hopes of grossing him out. It did. :D
DeleteThis is the most perfect Mardi Gras mani, if I have ever seen one!
