Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow, Light Wonder and Magic Foundation Reviews!!

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate to receive some samples of complexion products from Charlotte Tilbury.  I absolutely adore this company and the products so it was super exciting!  Right away, I began to put them to the test.  The three products I received are the Unisex Healthy Glow, (1.7 oz / $40), Light Wonder Youth Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation in my color #3, (1.4 oz / $46), and the Magic Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 also in number 3, (1 oz / $44).

Unisex Healthy Glow, Light Wonder, Magic

The Unisex Healthy Glow is a all year round moisturizing healthy tint.  It gives a bit of radiance and hydration to the skin on application.  These are the claims:  "Encapsulated chameleon natural tan pigments are secret pigment colors that are revealed upon application, and once blended, the different tones deliver a natural color result. Charlotte formulated a magic mix of bronze, black and terracotta pigments that morph to become the perfect natural tan tone as you massage them together. It also contains a combination of moisture-regulating ingredients that mimic bouncy lipids in healthy skin."

When I first used this, I was surprised that it comes out as a white liquid.  I put it on my face and it didn't stay white or blanch my face color at all.  In fact, I found that it made my skin look better, as if there was a fancy photo filter on it.

I found it really unusual because I couldn't detect any color or see the product on my face and yet my face looked better than it does naked.  When I swatch it on my arm, I can see a bit of a bronzey tint, but I don't detect it on my face at all.  It's just like a second skin as it blends in giving me a "my skin but better" look.

I am continuing to use this as a primer under my foundation.  I prefer some coverage but I love how the Healthy Glow makes my skin look and it makes a very nice primer.  This product doesn't contain SPF so be sure to use your sunscreen.

Light Wonder Youth Boosting Perfect Foundation, (SPF 15), is in the middle of the swatch pictures.  You can see that it is more fluid in comparison to the Magic foundation at the top of the swatches.  Additionally, while both products are in #3, Light Wonder is just ever so slightly pinker in tone, which I like.   And let's talk about Charlotte Tilbury's packaging...all classic with accents of rose gold and brown.  I just love it!

Unisex Healthy Glow, Light Wonder, Magic

I've been wearing Light Wonder for a little over a year as one of my regular go-to foundations.  I did a red carpet look during awards season earlier in the year wearing it.  I love how it looks on.  I imagine that's due to the youth boosting actives that it contains that even the complexion and boost hydration.  It is a light to medium finish.  Here are the claims:  "Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Youth-Boosting Perfect Skin Foundation is an air-light formula that illuminates, smoothes, hydrates, minimizes pores and reduces wrinkles for perfect skin."  It absolutely makes my skin look perfect and luminous.

Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Foundation is the most incredible bottle of genius I've ever worn.  It is a full coverage, (although you can sheer it to achieve medium coverage, if you want), and it doesn't feel heavy or mask-y.  It provides a beautiful demi-matte finish.   And let's talk about the gorgeous retro packaging!

The Magic Foundation has been my choice of foundation since it arrived at my house.  I recently went to The Makeup Show in LA, and this was the foundation I chose to wear when how I looked mattered.  I find the coverage incredible for how lightweight it is.  I am currently experiencing some dermatitis from a gluten contamination on my chin,  (I've talked about this in the past.  It's pretty horrible and will last for months after an accidental ingestion of gluten.)  It's bumpy and it's ugly.  One swipe of the Magic Foundation and you can't even tell it's there!!  The bumps are a purpley-red so I feel certain I can tell you that a light application of this foundation would absolutely cover rosacea as well.  If you have acne, birthmarks or melasma, I feel confident this foundation will cover it and even your skintone.  Bold claims, but girl!  If you could see what it covers for me!!!

While I was at The Makeup Show, feeling confident in my Charlotte Tilbury Healthy Glow and Magic Foundation, I stopped by their booth where they were exhibiting for the first time.  If you'd like to see a Get Ready With Me with some of the things I purchased there, check out my recent video, posted below.

You can purchase the Charlotte Tilbury Cosmetics on her website or at Nordstrom.  Follow on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and Google+   As always, Charlotte Tilbury products are paraben free.   What is your favorite Charlotte Tilbury item?

Polarbelle's Week In Review

The past week has been a very busy one for me.  There were quite a few appointments, lots of swatching and testing, and a few videos that went out.  In case you hadn't been able to check them out, I'll just show you what I've talked about over the week.

One of the booths I visited while at The Makeup Show in LA was Charlotte Tilbury, one of my favorite brands.  I love the classic appeal of the packaging and the items themselves.  I'll have more up on the blog soon but for now, you can check out my Get Ready With Me featuring the Instant Eye Palette, a limited edition.

The next video I recorded featured my stop at the Muse Beauty Pro booth at TMSLA.  I planned to go there first to pick up a few things.  I also came home with the Grande Pro Palette, a limited edition matte palette.  I've swatched the items purchased at the booth and you can see them in the following video.  You'll see more about these items as I continue to explore them.  Don't miss the giveaway at the end of the video.

My November Sephora Play box came in while I was filming the other videos, so I have my analysis here:

See my Crimes Of Beauty shirt?  I bought it at The Makeup Show while surveying the goods at the Crimes Of Beauty booth.  It's actually a tank but for winter, I plan to layer it with another shirt.

I've scheduled some videos for the upcoming week and plan to have more for you to read as well.  There's just so much to tell you right now!!!

Be sure to enter the giveaway on the Muse Beauty Pro TMSLA post, and look for another coming up this week.

How about you?  Do you feel like you have so much going on and the latter part of the year is starting to whiz by at record speed?
