For Soft Supple Wintertime Lips, Try Herpecin L

This post is sponsored by the Primp Network.  All opinions and experiences are my own.

I don't know about you, but my lips can get really chapped going into winter.  The blowing wind and use of the home and car heaters zap the air of the moisture that my lips need to survive.  Increasing my use of liquid lipsticks to keep the seasonal red in place can sometimes add to my deficient lip condition.  It can hit all of a sudden as I feel the discomfort of dry lips and realize I need to increase my application of lip balm.  Enter Herpecin L.

Now I know you're thinking "HerpecinL, isn't that for herpes simplex virus, HEV-1, cold sores or canker sores or whatever you want to call them?"  Yes, actually it is a cold sore treatment but so much more.  HerpecinL helps treat cold sores and their uncomfortable complications such as burning, itching and oozing by applying a medication that speeds up recovery.  It should make that fever blister last less than a week!  I'm fortunate that I don't have fever blisters but it's estimated that 50-80% of adults in 1st world countries have been subjected to the virus via friends or family.   Most people get it in infancy or childhood - something to remember when old Aunt Edna insists on a kiss from a child that is too timid to do so!  I know how embarassing it feels to get a sore, but honestly it is nothing to be ashamed of and HerpecinL can help to heal it faster!

My experience with HerpecinL has been nothing short of remarkable.  When the balm arrived, I was a couple of weeks into my yearly term of chapped lips.  Really chapped.  So chapped that they hurt.  I had gotten out of the habit of using much in the way of protection on my lips as summer was pretty much over and my use of sunscreen sticks when I went outside had diminished.  I hadn't thought much about lip protection while indoor and didn't know I was getting into a flaky place until I was there.

HerpecinL is in a tube like a typical lip balm.  Pop the top and roll the clear balm up to apply.  It has SPF 30 so it's perfect for both winter and summer activity and is an excellent healer for chapped lips while providing sun protection and a protecting barrier during your outdoor activities.  My lips are particularly sensitive to sun so it's important to me to keep them covered with an SPF when I'm outside, whether it is in the summer heat of Phoenix or when it was from the sun glistening off the snow in Alaska.  I've got to have SPF in my balm!

It was just a couple of days that I used the Herpecin L until the sore chapped feeling was gone and my lips have been smooth and supple with regular use.  I can't believe it.  My lips have always been flaky at some point during the day prior to using this product.  And I should tell you, there is no scent but a delicious vanilla flavor.  It's a treat to wear it.

HerpecinL is truly a hidden gem in the drugstore and it's recommended by pharmacists as a cold sore treatment.  Plus, it's under 5 bucks for a tube.  I have one that I take in my purse and one by my bed.  I need a third for my desk area and I'll be adequately covered!  I think this would make an excellent stocking stuffer for everyone from family to friends, neighbors and co-workers.

Ingredients: Dimethicone 1% (skin protectant), Methyl Anthranilate 5% (sunscreen), Octyl Methoxycinnamate 7.5% (sunscreen), Octyl Salicylate 5% (sunscreen), Oxybenzone 6% (sunscreen), Helianthus Annuus Oil (hybrid sunflower), Petrolatum, Ozokerite, Mineral Oil, Microcrystalline Wax, Talc, Titanium Dioxide, Beeswax, Melissa Officinalis Extract (balm mint), Cetyl Lactate, Glyceryl Laurate, Flavor, Lysine HCI, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopherol, Pyridoxine HCl, Panthenol, BHT

HEV-1 is so common, I think it might even be more prevalent than the common cold!  Keep HerpecinL around for those with the virus and for anyone with lips.  You'll be kissably soft with regular use and protected from the harmful sun's rays.

HerpecinL is available in family and multi-packs, as well as singles, at Walmart.  Be sure to follow them on Facebook and learn more about the brand on their website.
