Showing off my Tweezerman brows to have dinner with friends!

Using my Tweezerman Pro kit, I fixed my brows all nice and pretty, and unfortunately with my cell phone in lighting which isn't the best, you can't see my awesome sparkly pink eyeshadow, (Maybelline quad).  I used a new blush from the Kardasian Beauty Pumped Up collection, along with a lipgloss.  My face was LA Girl Cosmetics Pro concealer and Gorgeous Cosmetics foundation.  I had gotten inspiration for an easy, casual and comfortable look from my motivational t-shirt from Old Navy.  Easy Peasy.

Maybelline Street Chic Spring 2014 New Nail Polish

When I first saw this Maybelline Street Chic nail polish display, (notice that it features the Official Nail Color Of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York), I originally passed up the color on the far left.  How many more speckled black and white top coats do I need?  BUT WAIT!!!!  Did you know this color is a pink?

I can see it in the photo, but I didn't see it in the store.  The display was slightly above my head.  At another store, I found these in with the regular Maybelline display and saw the name...can't wait to swatch it!!

New Spring 2014 Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow

These look really interesting. Maybelline has great eyeshadows. I'm very tempted by the quads put out for Spring 2014. I've always loved Maybelline....if you haven't tried their eyeshadows, you just have to!!!

This week, Fred Meyer has a BOGO 1/2 sale on Maybelline.  That's all I needed to know!!!!

New For Spring 2014 - Maybelline Face Studio Blush and Bronzers.

This display features Master Glaze, the stick creme blushes that you see on the left.  And on the right is Master hi-light, which has four blushes and two bronzers. They're so pretty to look at, I just can't wait to swatch them.

I rarely use cream blush so I'm waiting to read reviews but I bought the whole right side out of curiosity.  The colors in the matrixes are so complex and beautiful that I can't wait to see what they look like blended, on the face and in comparison with each other.

Not a Sales Pitch - A Testimonial You Might Find Interesting

If you know me, you know I am not a pushy sales person. If you don't know me personally, well now you know that about me. If you know me, you know my husband has Cystic Fibrosis, considered to be a terminal childhood illness. If you know my husband, you'll know he's WELL past childhood. If you've known us for long, you'll know that the past six years, every June his allergies have set off his CF and he's gotten critically ill...every June....six years...every time we thought he might die. I am not embellishing nor making it a bigger story than it is.

This June, we tried something new. I have my cousins to thank for introducing me to Cie Aura. I thought it was all heebie jeebie wierd stuff, which I'm not totally adverse to necessarily, but hearing about it, I thought uh huh, sure. But a cousin that I really trust told me she tried it and it worked. So I tried a couple things based on her testimony.

They have an allergy/sinus chip. Everyone in Alaska has sinus problems. Ok, that might be an overstatement, but most people I know do. I could instantly tell the difference and when the chip was done after it's three day time period, nobody had to tell me, I KNEW it. I thought if this worked for my husband, maybe he wouldn't get so sick in June. So I forced him to try it, like any good wife would.

It's just a doggone miracle. He has survived his June allergie season with NO occurance. He's not had a Cystic Fibrosis episode; no trips to the hospital and I am thanking God for finding these chips and thanking my cousins for telling me. I really am so thankful that I thought I should tell people. It really is a true miracle that he hasn't gotten sick this year in June.

If you'd like to find out more about it, you can visit my website here.

I know this isn't my usual kind of post, but I feel strongly enough about what it's done for my sinuses and for my husband's illness, that I wanted to share. So, want a pretty picture? Here's just about half of my Maybelline quads. They ROCK!

New Spring Nail Polishes From L'Oreal and Maybelline

A few bright and shiny spring items caught my eye while shopping in my local Fred Meyer. I was looking for a yellow polish that would be wearable for me, some orange, and I was totally bummed out that I hadn't seen China Glaze 108 degrees anywhere in my town. I turned the corner of the cosmetic aisle and WA LAH! There on the end cap where some new bright and shiny spring offerings from L'Oreal and Maybelline. Check it out!

The item on the left is Maybelline Express Finish in Orange Blazes #654. It's a really nice orange cream for summer. It is limited edition. It is shown in two coats on my pinky finger.

In the first picture, the orange L'Oreal Nail Polish is the color Coral Starfish #422. It is an orange with silver and orange sparkles. It is shown in two coats on my index finger.

The bottle third from the left in the first picture is L'oreal Yellow Seahorse #322. It is a yellow with pink and yellow shimmers. They don't really show when wearing it but give it that little bit of oomph to keep it from looking flat. It is pictured in THREE coats on my middle finger. Here's more of a closeup of the bottle to show the shimmers. It's really pretty.

Lastly, on my ring finger is L'Oreal #222 Pink Shells. It is a vivid deep pink with magenta flecks. It is very similar to China Glaze 108 degrees, perhaps just a bit brighter.

All four polishes applied like a dream, with no streaking. The L'Oreal are a steal at $4.99 and the Maybelline is priced at $7.99. Get them while you can. I don't think they'll last long on the displays.
