Pixi Beauty Skintreats Peel & Polish - Plus A Giveaway!

Pixi Beauty has been just killing it lately with their skincare products, referred to as Skintreats.  One of the most recent releases to hit the shelves is the Peel & Polish, (1.5 fl oz / $24).  Pixi Beauty is a cruelty free company and their products are sold in their boutiques, Pixi online, and at Target in the states.  The Peel & Polish is one of those rare skincare finds that you know is exceptional from the first use.

I would agree with Pixi's claim that it delivers a professional salon peel at home.  This peel uses natural fruit enzymes  and lactic acid to exfoliate and peel while utilizing sugar to polish.  The result is that the dead outer surface of the skin is lifted and removed revealing softer smoother skin underneath.

You can use this as a peel or as a peel and polish combination.  The instructions say to apply it, let it sit for up to five minutes and wash away.  It can be used 2-3 times a week in the morning or evening.  To receive a more polished effect, when applying, gently rub in circular motions helping to speed the exfoliation, and let the peel sit on the face for a few more minutes.  This is how I use it with my dry skin.  The result, when I wash it off, is a clearer radiant complexion and softer smoother skin.  I've very impressed with this product.  It's suitable for all skin types so I think you might like it as well.

Here are the ingredients:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Lactic Acid, Polylactic Acid, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Propanediol, Ceteareth-20, Beraclay Light Red, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polyglceryl-3 Cocoate, Butylene Glycol, Maltooligosyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Dipentaerythrityl Tri-Polyhydroxystearate, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Polyglceryl-4 Caprate, Polyglceryl-6 Caprylate, Polyglceryl-6 Ricinoleate, Pentylene Glycol, Sorbic Acid, Hydroxyphenyl Propamidobenzoic Acid, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Benzoic Acid, Tocopherol.

What's New In Multi-Misting From Pixi Beauty Skintreats

Pixi Beauty has been just killing it in the skincare department over the past couple of years.  My honest opinion is that the nickname Skintreats was given to the carefully curated cruelty-free beauty products in Pixi's skincare line for good reason!  I want to tell you today about the beauty mists that are new to Pixi and definitely seem to be a treat to use.   The mists are 2.7 fl oz each and retail for $15 per mist.  Each may be used separately or together in a layering fashion to achieve maximum results. There are five mists total and I have four of them for you today.  If you prefer to watch youtube, I have a recent video where I reviewed the mists and showed how to use them.   You'll find that clip beginning at about 9:47.

The first product in the group is the Vitamin Wakeup Mist.  It is a vitamin boosting toner which is said to give a revitalized awakened effect to the complexion.  You can use it day or night but it should be the first thing after cleansing.  I use it in the morning as the first part of my routine.  The Vitamin Wakeup Mist has an orange blossom water base and contains other citric extracts, lavender, and arginine, (a skin healing and collagen promoting amino acid), among so many other good things that you can read on this ingredient list.

The spritz feels wonderful on my face and gives me a healthy hydrated look.  Vitamin C makes my skin glow while protecting it from environmental assaults.  The scent is both comforting and invigorating to me.  How I feel about the look of my skin using it combined with the energizing scent helps me to feel confident to face the day.  This is my very favorite of the mists.

Next in the lineup is the Hydrating Milky Mist.  It provides instant hydration using hyaluronic acid to plump skin by trapping the moisture in a protective layer.  The ingredients include black oat, multiple B vitamins, and linoleic acid.  The full paraben free ingredient list can be found here.

You can use the Hydrating Milky Mist throughout your day and evening to give instant hydration.  I use this about 30 seconds after I use the Vitamin Wakeup Mist.  They both absorb quickly and I am really happy with the results.  This spray is my second favorite and it's a close second to the first one.

If you're a Pixi fan, you might already be familiar with the Pixi Glow Mist.  Here is what I said about it in 2015 when it was released:  "Pixi Glow Mist is a great addition to the line.  It contains 13 different oils in addition to propolis, aloe vera and fruit extracts.!!  It is literally loaded with great things.  And it has a clean fresh scent which I really like while absorbing quickly.  I have really dry skin so this works very well for me.  Use it before makeup to hydrate, protect and nourish your skin.  Use it after makeup to set it and provide a natural glow while protecting your skin and makeup application.  Use it anytime to feel refreshed or to add a glow.  The bottle is travel sized at under 3 fl ounces so take it on an airplace with you to remain hydrated and look fresh when you touch down.  Be sure to shake this a little before using to mix all the oils."

I don't use this as often as I used to.  I feel like my skin already looks so incredibly healthy from the first two sprays that I don't feel a need to add much more.  Also, I test a lot of skincare products, including facial oils, so I had to shelve this one for a bit.  However, I do use it regularly on my body to maintain glow and hydration.

The fourth Skintreats spray that I have is the Makeup Fixing Mist.  This mist is designed to be used after makeup to keep it set in place and prevent creasing, melting and moving.  You can spritz it on a brush to add intensity when using a powder product such as an eyeshadow or highlighter that you want to pop.  It contains green tea, rose water and these other fine ingredients.

When I first used the Makeup Fixing Mist, it became my favorite makeup setting spray.  It does what it claims and it felt like a skin treat on application.  It is hydrating, lightweight and smells fresh..

I really truly look forward to using the mists each day.  I'm hoping to pick up the Sun Mist soon and add that to my multi-misting routine for skin protection.  I find these mists to be excellent in performance and am so glad they were added to the Pixi Skintreats family.  My skin is looking brighter, healthier, more hydrated and has a smoother surface than before they arrived at my house.

Pixi by Petra Beauty products can be purchased in Pixi boutiques, Pixi online, and both instore and online at Target.  You can keep up with Pixi by following their blog, and on their social media channels:  Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and youTube.

Have you tried any of the mists?  What do you use to achieve a healthy glow?
