The Vintage Cosmetics Launches New Spring Items In Ulta Beauty And They're Adorable!!

There are some new really cute and useful beauty items landing at Ulta this week from The Vintage Cosmetics Company.  I love the cute retro look and feel of the packaging as well as the high quality of the items I have previously shown you in this video on youtube.   When my husband and I met with the company at Cosmoprof North America last summer, we enjoyed reading the packages and you know I always love cute retro line drawings.  We went back to the booth several times because it was such a joy to be surrounded by the sweet look and feel of the brand.   I was fortunate last week to receive a set of three beauty lovelies to share with you.

scrubber, exfoliation, eye mask

Cute!  Cute!  Cute!!!  First let's talk about the Bunny Twist Makeup Headband, ($4.99).  Isn't it CUTE?!?!?!  I about died when I saw this!!  If you want to watch a video of me using it, it is below.

I love everything about this adorable headband.  I love the soft pinky coral of the base color.  Stars are my thing so I love that is has a star print.  The ears are lightly wired to retain the shape that you set them....make a bunny, make a Minnie Mouse, the shape will stay while you wear them.   The headband has light elastic in the back to hold it in place.  it is the most comfortable makeup headband I've ever had the pleasure to wear.

And the best part of all?  I consider this adjustable!!  Because it is one long piece that is rather like a scarf, you can tie or twist the top wherever it suits you.  It will be comfortable for everyone!!!  Even big headed people like me!!  A scarf type of build that I pull and twist to my desired comfort works better for me than a preformed, non-negotiable cuff type headband.  It's a total adorable steal for just $4.99!!

The Gel Bead Eye Mask, ($6.95), is such a welcome item for me!!  I've had a lot of allergic eye swelling in the mornings this past year.  I enjoy being able to slip this in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes and put it on to help the puffiness dissipate.   You can see in the first picture that it has beads in it that can be used hot or cold.  Warm them briefly in the microwave and I can relieve some of that congestion from the allergies.  The back is a soft pink fabric.  And again, adjustable headband!!!  You just have no idea how hard it is to find and adjustable band in an eye mask!!  Trust me on this.

Make sure to follow the instructions.  If it gets too hot, you could burn yourself, and if it's too frozen, you might end up with frostburn.

Also on the back of the box is the best retro throw back ever.  It's feel-o-vision!!!

This totally gave me all the feels.  I was immediately taken back to my childhood and the Pat The Bunny book my baby brother had.  I love him more than life itself and my memories of reading it to him and letting him play with it are precious.  I then bought the book for my own son and have those sweet memories as well.  Just a day before, I was at the store with my boy and he picked up a similar book, and I was awash with memories and still feeling nostalgic when I received these items.  I totally enjoy this attention to a retro detail that is significant in my own life.

My third item is the Exfoliating Face Sponge, ($6.95).  This is a silicone mushroom shaped piece with a sponge inside.   On the top are small scrubbing fingers that gently exfoliate as you clean.

The mushroom shape makes for a very comfortable hold.

You can see the sponge inside.

To use it, drop your cleanser on the top.  Cleanse and exfoliate by rubbing it around, which could make your cleanser foamy.  When you're done, rinse your face.  Rise off the sponge device well and set it out to dry.  It seems to me that if you could replace the sponge inside, you could keep the outside and use the thing longer.  I tried to pull the sponge out for testing sake and it didn't come out.  Honestly, at that price, it's just as easy to replace the whole thing whenever the spongey part gets old.

The Vintage Cosmetics Company is just so fun with their unique items and cute retro look - I think you should check them out.  The bunny headband would make a great part of an Easter or spring gift for any beauty lover.  Children will love it to play with.  Adults will love it for keeping the hair dry while doing makeup or skincare.

I think you'll enjoy checking out this brand either online or at Ulta.  If you shop online, get the lashes!!  They're on sale and oh so comfortable!  I can't find them in town anymore.  :-0   Learn more about the brand and their items by following them on FacebookInstagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and now on Snapchat as TheVintageCosCo.

Have you tried their products yet?  Have you seen them in store?  Are you just dying over the bunny headband?

What I've Been Doing On YouTube...

If you enjoy youtube, I have some videos from the past week that might interest you.  I don't post all my videos here.  Even though all of my media are related, each has a different feel doesn't it?  I saw the funniest video on Instagram the other day where it was said to have all social medias in a meeting.  The LinkedIn persona said we should schedule a meeting to discuss this.  Facebook said they were going to repost something they saw from an unknown source on it.  Twitter #&$# them out.  YouTube paused doing their makeup, and Snapchat came in nekkid.  It was hilarious.  And true.  Each media has different content so you really need to follow all to get a well rounded version of Polarbelle.  :)

My most recent video contains the cutest bunny headband ever from The Vintage Cosmetics Company and is only $4.99 sold at Ulta.   They have brand new spring releases that just launched today.  I have a couple of things I'll show you soon.  I am doing a Get Ready With Me featuring the Urban Decay X Kristen Leanne Kaleidoscope Dream palette.  I'm in LOVE with this palette and it's a good price at just $39.  You heard it here first...this is THE palette of summer this year!

If you've been reading awhile, or following on social, or know me IRL, you'll know that I have a big collection of pretties.  Some of them have been just TOO pretty for me to use.  I'm showing you my favorites in my Makeup Too Pretty To Use video.  Maybe you'll see some of your faves in there.

And then there are my 5 powerhouse hero products that I use literally on the daily but they are so much a part of me that I forget to talk about them.  One day I realized that instead of assuming you know about them, I should tell you.  Karen from was deep in my brain and her idea for Unsung Heroes just kept popping to the surface of my consciousness until it was something I had to create.

So there you go guys...I've been busy.  Do you have any video or blog requests for me?  We're just a few subscribers shy of my next round number on youtube and I'm itching to do a video.  I kind of made myself wait to achieve a goal, so when we hit that round number, we'll have a giveaway.  What is you favorite type of video to watch?  Have a great weekend!

Thanksgiving Week in Review on YouTube

You guys know I have a youtube channel, right?  I'm trying to align the channel and my blog better but I totally failed over the past week.  So I'm going to catch you up right here.

I posted my haul from the Muse Beauty Pro booth at The Makeup Show.  Girl....girl....girl!!  I had a lot of items in mind to purchase there and a couple that I hadn't anticipated.  You'll see a first look at the Viseart Grande Pro palette here.  I included swatches but my review hasn't gone up yet as I've been playing with every color to give you a full analysis.  I'll tell you right now, this will be one of my favorites from 2017.

You can see what I got in my Sephora Play box for November and whether I liked it or not.

I have some Laura Geller items that you definitely want to check out for holiday gift giving.  I've also done a Get Ready With Me with their 20 year celebration palette.  There is a giveaway of a triple highlighting palette at the end, which closes 11/30 at midnight.

Speaking of gift giving, you'll  want to consider The Vintage Cosmetics Company.  Their products have retro packaging and they're so cute!!!  They are also good quality at a low price.  You can find them at Ulta, TJ Maxx and Marshall's.  So cute!

And, I've started doing a little Vlogmas!  There are two videos so far and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing in vlogs, but what the heck....I get a little holly jolly during the holidays and love to spread the joy.

I hope you'll find something interesting for you in the videos.  It's such a busy time!!  Again I really apologize that I didn't keep you up to date during Thanksgiving.  I know everyone must have been as busy as I was, and I took a lot of family time over the week.  But I didn't forget you guys!!  I promise.

I'd like to do a Cyber Weekend haul for you and finish my picks from The Makeup Show...and make shopping lists, a little skincare, a little bath and body and a whole lot of makeup...where's an elf when you need a helper!?!  If you have anything you'd like to see first, please don't hesitate to let me know!
