Check Out The Hottest New Cosmetics Brand - Glossier

The buzz has been on everyone's lips..."have you heard about Glossier?  Have you tried anything from them?"  Beauty bloggers are stalking each other's reviews to learn more about this up and coming brand.  I've been fortunate to test a few things and I'd like to give you my thoughts today from the cool package I received from this cruelty free company.

The first thing I noticed right away was the wonderful packing of my products.  They came in this cuuuuutttttte pink bubble padded zip top plastic bag that can be used later as a makeup bag or whatever you'd like to use it for.  I know!!  Packing material, but it's so cool!!!  It makes for nice attention to detail.  I also received a cool sheet of Glossier stickers.

Now for the products.  The first item I want to talk about Boy Brow, (.11 oz / $16), which has already received cult like status in the beauty world.  It was a favorite in heavy rotation on the Oscar red carpet this year.

Boy Brow has a 1/4" spoolie wand to dispense product.  This product thickens, fills in and sets brows in place all without a stiffness that some products give.  It comes in blonde, brown, black and clear.  The color that I received is brown.  Key ingredients include beeswax, carnauba wax, oleic acid, lecithin and atelocollegen.

What I really like about this product is that I can wear it alone for a finished brow look or use it as a final step to cover the blonde tips of my brows.  I enjoy using this and I'd love to purchase the clear as well.

Next are the Generation G lip colors, (2 gm / $18).  I hadn't read anything about these so I was really curious to try them, not really knowing what to expect.  They are a thinner tube which fits easily in a pocket, wallet or bag.  I received the colors Like and Crush, (pictured left and right).

The Generation G lip colors are a matte lightweight lip tint, more like a matte lip balm than a lipstick.  I haven't used anything quite like these before.  The light powdery pink of Like doesn't show on my naturally very lightly pigmented lips.  Crush is a nice lightweight berry.  They feel moisturizing while being a very natural look.  Some of the wonderful ingredients are blue agave, safflower oil, and triple coated mica which gives the signature matte look while having a smooth glide.  They are hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, paraben, fragrance and cruelty free.

Swatches are, left to right, Crush and Like.

The last color product I received from Glossier is the Stretch Concealer, (.17 oz / $18).  I have it in medium, a perfect match for my both undereye and on the face.  Key ingredients include beeswax, microcrystalline wax, avocado oil, jojoba oil, cocoa butter, adaptable mineral pigments.

This concealer is designed to move, (or stretch), with the skin rather than drying down to a cakey overlay.  The nourishing oils also hydrate as you wear it.  For as lightweight as this concealer is, it has surprising coverage.  I do have to set it with powder under the eyes or it will do some minimal migrating.  I'm pretty impressed with it.  I don't know that it will replace what I regularly use but I just love the feel with it and how adapting the pigment is to my skin.

And now we're going to cover the Glossier skincare products that I received.  Glossier is all about a healthy glowing skin.  The products are designed to create a naturally pretty look, which begins with fresh skin.

The first treatment I tried was the Moisturizing Moon Mask, (3 fl oz / $22).  This product is good for all skin types.  It soothes, gently brightens and hydrates the skin.  My skin looks plumped up and smoothed when I use it and feels really hydrated.  You can use this day or night to give your skin the beneath the surface boost that you need.  I really enjoy this.  My skin gets pretty dry here in the desert and I can use all the moisturizing that I can get.  I find this product to be really effective.  I also love the packaging.

Before makeup, I use the Priming Moisturizer, (1.7 fl oz / $25).   One of the most incredible things about this priming moisturizer is that you can layer it to achieve the level of moisturizing that you desire.  It plumps up the skin with hydration and evens out the surface helping to minimize pores.  There are no heavy silicones like in many pore minimizing products.  The anti-redness complex helps to even skin's pigmentation while it gives skin a cushiony surface.  Like the Moon Mask, this is a skincare winner.  And again, the packaging!

I saved my favorite of all the Glossier products that I've used to tell you about last.  It is another skincare product.  Hands down, Balm DotCom, (,5 fl oz / $12),  is the best lip balm I've ever used.  This is an incredible formula in a squeeze tube and just the smallest amount will provide such amazing hydration to your lips that you'll wonder how you ever lived without it.  No joke.

This balm lasts for HOURS on the lips as it works to hydrate and repair them.  It's very dense and when I say you just need a little, I'm talking about 1/4 of a pencil eraser worth or less.  This product will last a very long time.  I have the original but there are also flavored varieties available.  If you only ever purchase one item from Glossier, it should be this balm.  Key ingredients include beeswax, castor seed oil, omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, rice bran and rosemary leaf extracts.

I've really enjoyed my introduction to this brand, especially the skincare.  There are full ingredient lists on the Glossier website.  You can follow them on Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

I really feel that the skincare I've tried are destined to achieve cult status right up there with Boy Brow.  How about you?  What have you heard about Glossier?   Have you tried any of the brand yet?
