You don't want to miss the Holiday 2016 offerings from Pixi Beauty. I look forward to them every year and this year, they really knocked it out of the park, just like always. If you've wished for a "one and done" palette, or the perfect on trend pigments, or perhaps that awesome classic red lipstick, this collection is for you. Pixi Beauty is a cruelty-free company.
The Pixi Holiday items always sell out so fast at the Target stores in my area...I'd be kind of embarrassed to tell you how many times, and how many times a day that I was going to search for these. I was thrilled when they arrived at my door. I'd been showing them off quite a bit on social media as I wore them non-stop to develop my opinion for you. You may still be able to find them in your local Target, well, especially the ones that are regular stock.
First up is the Palette Rosette, or Rosy Radiance, Face Palette, $28. This palette contains 8 eye shades, three for brows, and three face colors. The lid marks each with the suggested use, making this a perfect gift for any level of makeup artistry, from beginner to expert.
Take this with you to the gym or work and you can use this one palette to go from day to nighttime with ease. I love that it comes with the three brow hues on the bottom. You have a light, medium and dark, a blonde, a warm tone and a cool tone all within the three colors. This allows you to perfectly match your brows.
Here are swatches of the brow tones:
I'm going to interrupt my swatches for a second. Pixi had also sent me some items to be able to create a #FlawlessInFive face. These go perfectly with my Palette Rosette looks. You might have seen the following picture on Instagram.
From left to right are the Endless Silky Eye Pen in Graphite Greige, ($12), Endless Brow Gel Pen ($11) in Medium, black Lengthy Fiber Lash Mascara, ($16), and the amazing Mattelustre Lipstick in Classic Red ($12). I want to insert these items and show them in the swatches. The eye and brow "pens" are pencils, so just use them with a sharpener to keep them fresh. The Endless Silky Eye Pen is a non-budging liner pencil. It's everything I've been looking for!!! I have such a problem with one eye running from allergies and this is the only liner I've used since moving to Phoenix that doesn't budge. Pixi sent over the Endless Eye Pen in the color Opal Overcoat to put that shine to the inner corner when wearing a fabu look.
The Endless Brow Gel Pen in medium is a perfect fit for me. It wears very well. It's really hard to find a medium brown tone that isn't warm. Most medium brown pencils are too red for me, but this is a great match. It applies with ease and doesn't skip. I'm really happy with this one, and I love the separation and length I get from the mascara as well. It's hard for me to believe that such top quality comes with such a low price!!
Classic Red is a MatteLustre formula. When these came out last year, I tried one and then another and another...you know, like potato chips. The price is SO good but the quality is even better. They are a comfortable matte lipstick that wears a long time and doesn't feel dry. An absolute steal for $12!! I already had purchased Classic Red, so I'm quite familiar with it and how perfect it is for wear with these products. It is pictured below with the Holiday Fairy Dust sampler.
And let's show some swatches:
It occurs to me know that maybe I should have labeled everything, but I think you can figure it out. From the left, on the top row, are the three eye contours, the day/night lid shades, the highlights and Classic Red lipstick.
The bottom row, from left to right, are the three brow colors, the Enhancing Contour, Cheek Blush and All-Over Glow. Next is the Opal and Greige Endless Silky Eye Pens, followed by the medium brown Brow pen. Add the mascara and you have a variety of endless sophisticated looks to take you from home to office to nightlife.
But then there are the Fairy Dusts!! These are amazing pigments that can be used for eye shadow, wet as liner or foiled, or for a sheen of color to pop your look. Use them on the lid or as a highlight anywhere. I thought I had taken a million pictures of the look I did with them for my anniversary, but umm...it all went on Snapchat. And I haven't taken others, well you know cuz I thought I had a bunch, but I'll do a subsequent post showing a look with these items.
The Fairy Dust Favorites in this years stack are Sheer Peach Glow, True Bronze, Ruby Sheen, Sunkissed Amber and Black Pearl. I love how they're stacked in a plastic container that you can take anywhere. You should know that I never have fallout with these!! Ever. And spray a little makeup setting spray on some pigment on your brush and you have a brilliant foiled color for liner or lid, or pop in the middle of your lip for extra highlight.
The first four pigments are high shimmer while the black is sparsly shimmered, as most people would prefer for liner.
I have swatches in full sun.
These colors are beautiful, long wearing, non-creasing, have no fallout, and completely on trend. You can purchase full sized Fairy Dust pigments for just $10. They're amazing.
You can find Pixi Beauty online and in stores at Target or online on Pixi's own website. They have free shipping at just $25!!! That's awesome. Be sure to follow their social media on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and Instagram. Pixi is a cruelty-free company. I'll be covering some Pixi skincare items in the near future, and you won't want to miss that.
