However, I was swayed by the loud voice I heard that said "OH MY GOSH, CAN I SEE THAT DISPLAY?!!????? THOSE ARE GORGEOUS!!!" The lady at the cash register plopped down the brand new Kardashian Beauty Pumped Up display in front of me. I heard a flurry of iphone pictures being taken and I was aglow in the beauty of the collection. Was I surprised to find out it was my loud voice and iphone? Nah.
So I had to buy some. Then I had to go back and buy more. I told my husband, "but it's my JOB". Here is your first look and I'll get my multitude of pictures up soon. I did exercise restraint, tho.....I put back one of the four blushes I wanted and a gloss. Yes! Victory for him...MORE Victory for me.
I have been impressed with everything I've tried from Kardashian Beauty. No Joke. Everything I've used, eyeshadows, lip products, bronzer, blush, highlighters...everything has been finely milled, perfect in application, nicely pigmented and wears all day. Today I wore the blush in the front left side and the gloss on the back right.
I want to say so much more, but I'll save it for the full pictures and review. Let me tell you this as I wait for them to load to my computer, if you see this display, just don't hesitate. Get what you want. As you can see, the display only has two of each, so I'm saying, (in my best Rocky voice), "Go For It. I really don't think you could possibly regret these purchases.

These are pretty! Bare Minerals Mini Moxie Lipgloss sets - My Latex Allergy and Why I've Been Missing.
I'm getting some things ready to photograph. I've collected a lot while waiting to be able to wear makeup again. About six months ago, I had surgery on my knee and unfortunately, they used a latex mixed surgical mask for me. I'm allergic to Latex. Everywhere the mask touched blistered, which is why you haven't seen my face for awhile.
It's been very humbling. And I know the scars will be lasting but I feel really blessed that I haven't had to deal with acne scars as part of my existance, so going this far without damage to my face makes me feel like maybe this won't be so bad.
I'm getting close to being healed. I'm going to talk about this more soon and tell you some things that I've done when I was able to use products on my face. I went to the dermatologist three times, my regular doctor twice and none of their creams helped. I also got pink eye at one point in some of the sores. It all made me feel so beautiful!!! It's been pretty horrifying.
But again, I'm going to be showing you some wonderful products that have helped me to get almost healed. Maybe a few more weeks and I'll have a face back, in whatever form it will be. And I'll share all of it with you.

Check out the Vicious Varnish. I bought a few, well ok, all of them to try. I was kind of in a hurry so I didn't take the time to look at the BB tinted moisturizer or whatever is on the left. Guess I need to go back to Walgreens!!

The sale items were a great deal!! And the Hourglass lipgloss was a deluxe sample that I got with points I had earned from my Beauty Insider VIP points.
Did you spend any Christmas or Holiday money at the after Christmas sale at Sephora?

Here is the December 2013 Ipsy bag that I received. I'm leaving my picture full sized so that you can drool as much as possible over the items.
The sides of my picture were cut off in the Instagram photo to fit IG better. But here are some things that you need to know: A year's subscription to Ipsy is only $110. To purchase an individual bag is just $10, so there's a $10 savings with the yearly price....did I mention you are receiving full sized items in each bag?
First, there is the bag. This one is pretty nice. Most bags are bout 5" x 7". Love the shiny black textured outside and the hot pink inside. Love!!!
The lipstick I received is NYX Cosmetics in the color Cream, (#607). It's a frosted nude beige. I love everything NYX. I started buying them many years ago on trips to Hawaii where Longs Drugs was the only place I could find the brand. I loaded up on pigments and eyeshadows.....bringing it to present day, I'm now able to buy a limited amount of their items at Fred Meyer. Our two local Targets just received the brand this month but they seem to have trouble re-stocking NYX and Pixi. It's.....so........sloooooooow. Anyway, when I am out of state, I purchase from the full line of NYX at Ulta and one of my favorite places to shop for NYX online is Cherry Couture. They often have fantastic sales. You should definitely check them out. Don't forget to shop the brand's own website NYX Cosmetics.com. Sign up for their email and receive 25% off your first order.
I met with the NYX team at Cosmoprof North America this past summer and the one before and I'm telling you the products that were introduced this year are just killer and wait until you see what's coming up in the spring. I'll be writing that up soon to let you know what I've discovered.
Lastly, about the lipstick, in the end cap is a matching lipgloss. NYX Cosmetics truly has great products at great prices and I've received many awesome NYX items in my Ipsy bags. Happy, happy, happy. You are also able to purchase these items and more from the brands on the Ipsy website. Each bag contains a postcard featuring the brands of the month and information about the special discounts which often come from many of them.
Be A Bombshell is a brand I hadn't experienced or heard of until Ipsy. At this point, I've received a many different types of items from them and I've enjoyed them all. It's a good brand and I've been impressed with the quality. This month's bag includes The One Stick. My color is Girl Crush, a light pink with a hint of golden shimmer, which is absolutely perfect for me. I think I'd prefer this on my lips rather than cheeks just because I personally am not fond of cream cheek color. However, this color intrigues me and I'm going to give it a try. It looks beautiful and would be great for a classic wintery etherial look. Use it anywhere you like for a wisp of color. Layer it to make more of a statement, if you like.
Next is NickaK NY nailpolish in the color NY112, a taupe toned milk chocolate color. This goes well with the NYX round lipstick Cream. I've also met with the Nicka K team at CosmoprofNA last summer and had a great visit. It wasn't quite that way this last July unfortunately but I do love this nail polish. She's a beauty!
Let's talk Pop Beauty! I was thrilled to find a Bright Up Your Life eyeshadow trio in my bag. Mine is called Smokin' Hot and is perfect for this time of year, or anytime really. It contains three shades of grey, from light to dark, with varying amounts of shimmer from heavy to slight. You can also find Pop Beauty at Ulta and on Ipsy.
The last item in my already stuffed Ipsy bag is Ardell Natural Lashes, number 120 Demi, in the color black. These are light and wispy and come with glue for application. You can find these at virtually any store. I usually buy mine at Sally's or at Fred Meyer when they do a buy one, get one 1/2 off sale; which is currently running thru December 21st, if you live in the Pacific Northwest.
There you have it: Full sized items for just $10 a month!!! Isn't it amazing? And if you sign up for a year, you basically get one month free!!! A year is just $110!! WORTH IT!!! If you use my Ipsy link, I will receive a few points and eventually will be able to use them toward a purchase. Check out what's on their website and see if you might be interested. This is the first time I've blogged my Ipsy bag, (shame on me but it's really been a rough year). I have been completely satisfied with every bag I've received since I re-joined last March.
And the final note for this blog post that I have to tell you: Ipsy has a series of questions that you can answer and the bags are catered to your preferences. Holy great idea, Batman!!! And you can change those preferences any time that you want!
Are you an Ipsy subscriber? Which of the monthly sample services do you subscribe to?

The Essence Twilight Breaking Dawn, Part two, collection of nail polishes and facial cosmetics is just darned exciting!! It's being sold at Fred Meyer where I live and I hear it's been found in Ulta in other states. I've seen it at two Fred Meyers and both stores had a decimated display. I got a piece here and a piece there and today I'll show you what I have now. I'm determined to find more of it...we'll see what happens.
Let's look at the nail polish first. Ooooooh, these are really nice. From left to right are Alice Had a Vision - Again, Edward's Love and Jacob's Protection.
You can see that Alice Had a Vision - Again is a nice blackened purple. It has purple and green glitters in it. Edward's Love is a black with grey glitter. Jacob's Protection is a blackened blue with blue glitter. All the nail polishes have a nice wide brush which is helpful when you need to apply glitter. I could have gotten away with one coat for the most part, but used two out of habit and uniformity of swatching. The polishes are smooth to the touch when dry.
The first swatches will be Alice Had A Vision - Again. Blackened purple with purple and green glitters. My camera failed at picking up the glowing micro-sized green glitters.
And a super macro swatch.
Edward's Love is a glorious black with shining grey glitter. I'd be tempted to call it silver, but when combined with the black base, it really looks more like grey.
Each polish that I swatched immediately became my favorite. All three that I purchased from this collection are very enjoyable to me. I love the subtle glitters in them and the deep colors of the base.
Jacob's Protection is, again, a deep blackened blue with blue micro-glitter particles.
And a super macro nail swatch.
I swatched the nail polishes on a swatch wheel so that you can see the differences in them more easily. They are, left to right, Edward's Love, Alice Had A Vision - Again, and Jacob's Protection.
Moving onto the makeup! I picked up the shimmer powder called Bella's Secret. I guess it's the secret to her fabulous vampire glow.
I have to say I didn't expect much from it. I thought it would look more like Edward's glow and be more overtly shimmery and perhaps even sparkly. When I swatched it, I saw the most subtle purely beautiful sheen on my skin. This is a must have for everyone. This product will absolutely give you that fresh glowing look that we all so desperately want.
I also purchased the two lipglosses, Renesmee Red and Alice Had A Vision - Again, pictured below from left to right.
And the only other item I was able to find in either display is the pigment in the color called Edward's Love. I thought it was a taupe pigment. Boy was I surprised when I opened it!!!
I'm going to show you swatches of the pigment and lipglosses first. I was shocked and amazed to find that the pigment Edward's Love was a dark purpley base color with all kinds of multi-colored glitters. The glitters don't bond well to the powder of the pigment. They kind of separate as you pour the pigment out, so you definitely need a shadow base to adhere these to your eyelids or wherever you choose to apply it. I'm really hopeful to find the other colors. I can't wait to see what they're like.
Renesmee Red is a midtone red with golden shimmer particles. Both lipglosses are very sheer. I think they really need to be layered over something to get the best wear and use out of them. You'll see in my lip swatches how sheer they are. Renesmee Red wants to settle in all the lip wiggles and bumps and the wear time of the glosses alone isn't great but I suspect either gloss would be stunning over the lipstick in the collection.
Jacob's Protection lipgloss looks a bit brown in my arm swatches. It looks deep purple with blue sparkles in the tube and on my lips, it is a light plum. It's a great color but again doesn't have great wear time. It doesn't seem to have the issue of settling into lines like Renesemee Red does, but that's typical of all red glosses. Red pigment is just runny.
So now for some swatches with the golden shimmer powder called Bella's Secret. I swatched it very heavily on my arm so that you could see it in a picture. You'd use it much lighter on your face and it would be stunning!! It's gorge! Just get it and a few extras, if you see it. I want an extra soooo bad.
Essence has a Facebook page that you can follow, as well as a Twitter account to follow. You can find their official webpage here for more pictures and information on the Twilight Breaking Dawn, pt 2, Collection as well as the other products that they carry.
Thanks, Tracy, it's been fun sharing this with you!

Mac released three lip gelees recently as part of the Fashionflower Collection. I adore Lip Gelees. They are mostly sheer and glossy and some are super sparkly. This collection contains lots of sparkle, especially in two of the glosses and the third has sparkle but it is less noticible. Lip Gelee's are in long squeeze tubes with an angled applicator at the bottom so that you can control how much you wish to squeeze out. They retail in the US for $14.50.
They aren't particularly sticky glosses but are wet and glossy without the stick. They feel a little more like a petroleum jelly than a traditional Mac Lipglass. The wear time is exceptional. Here's a closeup of, from left to right, Budding Beauty, Fashionflower, and Now in Season.
The order is the same for the gloss swatches on my hand. It should be noted that I put enough in the hand blobs to do my whole lips. A heavy swatch shows you more of the color, but when you apply these, they will be far more sheer, especially Budding Beauty.
Budding Beauty is a very sheer peach with golden peach sparkles. It looks very sheer on me and just adds a tiny bit of shimmer. The best picture I have is a blurry photo to show the shimmer.
Fashionflower has a light lavender base with silver and pinky sparkles. This one is high on shimmer and adds a little bit of silvery lavendar to my lips. It's not a full on thick silver like the heavy swatch on my hand would indicate.
Lastly, I have Now In Season, a lightly golden sheer gloss filled with gold and teal sparkles. On my lips, it gives somewhat of a nude look with plenty of shimmer.
