An Update To All

Hi. *waves*.  Polarbelle entered into it's beauty blogging fifth year this past fall. The idea with any business or hobby that one undertakes is to build it bigger and better. It's a simple fact about the drive of humankind.

The past 3.5 years have been the most challenging of my life as I encountered severe injuries from an accident and have had 7 surgeries during that time.  I would have thought that would be enough but nooooooooo.

The past year, I've had more physical trouble than ever.  I have been really really sick.  I feel awful about it because I've let down my readers, my blog groups and my companies.  I would think often of putting an update on my blog in case people wondered where I've been or why I've been so slow in bringing you information and pretty pictures.   I just kept thinking, tho, that I would be through the broken bones, torn muscles and sickness any day.  I really did.  But it just went on and on and increased in severity.

I just found out last month that I have celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder involving gluten.  I've had autoimmune disease almost all of my life and one AI disease tends to garner others, so by the time I was diagnosed, my hubby had already figured it out, in the midst of some serious medical events that he was dealing with.

Thyroid disease is no newcomer for me either.  I've been taking thyroid medication for 15 years.  I'm generally pretty good at deciphering my thyroid and it's needs.   I thought all of my normal hypothyroid symptoms were caused either by celiac disease or the stress of my husband's mystery illness   My son caught this one and insisted  that I get my thyroid checked.  And I found out this week that it was way off.

So, all that to say this, I've been slapped down by some medical issues but it won't stop me.  I'll be up and running hopefully normally within a couple of weeks.  I instagram daily to keep up with the beauty world so you should look for my pictures there.  Both my husband and I should be much better within a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, I'm testing some products that are going to interest you, I think, and I've posted teasers on Tumblr and IG.  So to all my readers and brands, please hang in there.  I promise you that I the near future, Polarbelle will have been worth waiting for.

How about you?   What have you been up to?  Share with me something beautiful you've discovered or an interesting thing in your life. ❤️❤️

The Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette, Swatches, Review, and Palette of the Season!!

2014 brought a rise in palettization. We moved from the idea of single shadows we arrange ourselves into the full on glory of beautiful palettes created for our enjoyment. 2015 starts with what could very well be the Palette Of The Year...the Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette Amazonian Clay palette, ($44). Behold the splendor.

I first spotted this eyeshadow palette at Sephora while out one day.  I tested it and when I put my finger in the shadow and felt the silkiness, I knew this would very well be in heavy competition for Palette Of The Year despite the year having just begun!  The shadows are soft like butter and the color payoff of each and every shade is amazing!  The pleasing balance of plums, warm browns and cool browns just makes it an all around killer matte palette.

This is a beauty.  A true princess and has no angle where it isn't completely photogenic.

swatches, Sephora, 2015

The Tartelette palette consists of twelve matte eyeshadows in three rows of four across.  If you pair the shades in the horizontal rows, you'll see that the four match together well.  The top row is a warm brown set with a warm beige, a coffee with cream shade, a pure milk chocolate, and a warm burnt umber.  The shade names of the first row, from left to right are:
Free Spirit, Force Of Nature, Dreamer and Multi-Tasker.

The middle row consists of some beautiful plums.  You have Caregiver, Natural Beauty, Best Friend and Bombshell.  The second row across moves through the plum spectrum from a light matte pale pink to a deep plum.

The bottom row consists of a cool brown toned family, beginning with a cool beige, a burnt sienna, a taupey brown and a soft black.  The names are Super Mom, Wanderer, Power Player and Fashionista.

I swatched these with my fingertips the first time.  Usually, I use sponge tip applicators.  I have deeply grooved fingerprints, which grab a LOT of shadow, and unfortunately, when I swatch, it then looks spotty.  WHICH THEY ARE NOT.  My fingertips just hold in the color.

Here are two swatches done with sponge brushes:

My gosh the pigment is great in these Amazonian clay shadows.  Isn't that an amazing difference between what my finger swatches would have you to believe and the truth of the matter?  And they go on the eye even smoother.  (I don't have an eye look for you yet...but I will!)

I might be the only person who can tell the difference between the two pictures here with the sponge swatching, but I show them because my arm rests slightly differently, and the light hits the arm in a different spot.  Anyway, it's a negligible difference but I feel the need to be diligent!!!

Sephora, swatches, review

This is just such a great palette with all around matte colors.  It can be used alone or is the perfect compliment to virtually every other shadow you probably own.  I've become a total Tarte fiend over the past year because of the excellent quality and value given to the consumer.

You may find this delicious eyeshadow set at Sephora, Ulta, and  Doesn't the accompanying lipstick look pretty?  Oh yes, it does.  I don't have it but I'm making it my mission in the next couple of weeks to look for it.

Have you had your Tarte today?

Love A Good Lip Balm? Try Teadora Rainforest At Dawn Nourishing Lip Butter!!

Press Sample

Right at the start, I'm going to tell you this is the best lip balm I've ever used.  Now I'll tell you about it and then why I make that statement.

Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter, (.5 oz, 15ml /$15), comes in pot form.  I have the flavor Rainforest At Dawn, which is a delicious citrus orange flavor.  And I mean delicious!!  I want to scoop it out as a topping on ice cream.  It's just that tasty!!  It's seriously the most delicious lip product I've used.

You might be surprised, as I was, to open a tub called lip butter and find that the balm is a solid.

I started using it by rubbing my finger across the top.  It is a little bit bumpy feeling when you get it on your fingers, but if you warm it up between them, it melts like butter becoming more of the traditional balm texture.  The minor grittyness doesn't bother me.  It melts in on my lips, but I also like to utilize the first moments of texture as an exfoliant, rubbing my lips together.   Most of the time to apply it, I just rub my lips on the top of the lip butter.  The jar is larger than any tub of balm I've ever had and can easily take some lip rubbing.

Additonally, you can use a scraper or your nail to get a bit of balm.  I've been told that Teadora is repackaging the lip balms to include some kind of spatula for that purpose.

Let me tell you why I love this lip butter.  I live in a dry climate and I usually wake up with flakey lips in the morning.  It's a drag.  I think it's yucky.  Sometimes I'm in a hurry and might forget to make my lips pretty before I leave the house.  Major beauty faux pas!!  Because I have such dry skin, it just bugs me to have flakes of anything hanging off.

When I use the Teadora Lip Butter, something amazing happens.  I wake up with soft supple lips WITH NO FLAKES.  The difference in the state of my lips is dramatic.  NO JOKE.  It's a huge difference!!  No amount of water drinking could do this.  No other balm has ever come close.

I love the Teadora lip balm because it tastes delicious and it makes my  lips really healthy and soft.  It truly does nourish them.  It's a treat every night when I pick it up to put it on and one that I honestly look forward to.  It's a little big for me to take in my purse.  I use small purses, but I use this when I'm at home.

I found out recently that I have Celiac disease and I'm really thankful that this is a balm that I can use.  You can see by the ingredients, (taken from the website), that it's gluten free and has many wonderful nourishing properties:

Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Organic Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Astrocaryum Murumuru (Murumuru) Seed Butter, Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Theobroma Grandiflorum (Cupuaçu) Seed Butter, Organic Euterpe Oleracea Fruit (Açaí) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Wax, Organic Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit (Buriti) Oil, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed (Brazil Nut) Oil, Non-GMO Tocopherol (mixed Ester – Vitamin E), Carapa Guianensis (Andiroba) Nut Oil, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Passiflora Incarnata (Passionfruit) Seed Oil, Organic Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni, Natural Flavor.

For me, personally, it is more important than ever to check ingredients and watch what I put in my body and on my skin.  I'm so relieved that this lip balm passes the gluten free test!   Teadora products are vegan, and free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, phthalate, sulfate and other harsh chemicals.  Teadora only uses raw organic ingredients from the Amazon which are sustainably harvested.

You can purchase Teadora products on their website.  I have also seen the products recently on Hautelook.  You can follow them on FacebookInstagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Tell me if you've tried any of Teadora's products.  I know I find them you as well?

Are You A Mom With An Invention, A Business Or A Charity And Need A Boost? Take It To MUMZY.Com!!!

Thank you MUMZY™ for sponsoring this post. Check out MUMZY™, a new crowdsourcing platform for moms to fund their brilliant ideas and bring them to life.Thank you MUMZY™ for sponsoring this post. Check out MUMZY™, a new crowdsourcing platform for moms to fund their brilliant ideas and bring them to life.

Are you a busy mom?  What a silly question, right?  Every mom is up to her eyeballs in tasks and chores to where it sometimes feels like she can't take a break for herself.  Gosh, I can almost hear you moms nodding with me in understanding!!!  It goes with Mom territory to be worn thin taking care of a family and to feel like there's not enough time, energy or money left to concentrate on the things that a mom is interested in being a part of in order to grow herself, her family or her community.  This is where the new website swoops in like the ultimate nanny to help in all the necessary ways.

Mumzy is a new crowdfunding platform specifically for moms.   It is still in it's beginning stage but is rapidly gaining support.  What is crowdfunding?  Websites that garner large groups of people to fund projects and ideas by raising monetary contributions.  A lot of crowdfunding websites don't have the element of community that provides.  There are fund raising capabilities, as well as a community of support to promote the ideas, small businesses, and fund raising projects as well as  the moms interacting on the website.  This is a really unique opportunity on the web to help moms achieve their goals and provide a group of other moms to help with donations and encouragement to help you find your project's path to success.

business, fund raising, charity

Wouldn't you agree that moms are some of the most innovative, clever and hard working people that you know?  Moms make fantastic emtrepreneurs because they have the drive to make the world a better place for their kids to live, they see a need and can fill it in the blink of an eye, they burn the midnight oil to get things accomplished and they are experts in the art of diplomacy.  A mom created this website as an opportunity to support other moms.  Any suggestions for how to make it better are always welcomed in the community.

Have you ever been out with your kids and something vital breaks?  And you need to fix it or somehow make it work in order to keep the kids safe and move along to the next task?  Then you know what I mean.  So many inventions have come from moms with what now seems like simple needs.  Moms see a need and they fill it!!!  New moms don't even know what it's like not to have a double stroller, or a snuggli, or a stoller cup holder, or a baby monitor, and I could go on and on.  These are just some of the inventions I've seen in my lifetime and some of these were thought up by busy moms out of a NEED.

If you had an idea that made childcare, housework or any other task a little simpler so that you could get more done, wouldn't you love to have help with funding, promotion and someone to talk you through it?  This is what is for!!  Bring your inventions, your start up businesses and your fund raising charitible organizations to Mumzy and find funding and support!!  I can think of several mommys off hand who would be a perfect match for Mumzy's brand new platform.  You can be a part of the team that is helping moms to achieve their goals and success in many different areas. is currently offering one of the first 100 people who post a project a chance to win $1000 back toward that project's funding goals!!  I'd urge you to look at the website, started by a busy mom to support other moms, and submit your business or idea that needs some funding.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Check it out and tell me what you think!!

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

Beauty For Real Will Illuminate Your Makeup Kit With These New Items

Hi Readers!! I am back to tell you about some wonderful new items from Beauty For Real. You may remember that I wrote about their Illuminating Lip Gloss in the color Kiss, a nude pink, awhile back.  It is one of my favorite lipglosses, which I still wear often.  I love the feel and color of the gloss while the convenience of a built in LED light and mirror just can't be beat!!  Today I want to tell you about some of their newer products.  Read on and check out my evaluation.

Illuminating, LED, Really Red, Light On Your Toes, Get Lit, In The Pink, Get Glowing

Ideally, I had hoped to blog these for your gift giving considerations for Christmas.  I am sorry to report I'd been very ill most of the year, but it got worse in the fall, reaching a peak in mid-December, when I received a diagnosis.  Two days later, my husband had some mystery thing strike and spent four days in the hospital.  After that, I had an anaphylaxis type of attack, and you know, that's how my holiday season went.  I am SO sorry to have deserted both my readers and the companies that I enjoy and believe in.  2014 was full of broken bones, surgeries, ripped muscles and illness for me, and I'm saying enough of that, Onward and Upward in 2015!!!!

Let's talk about the Lip Cream, pictured in the first photo on the left.   The color I have and am showing you is Really Red.

Full Coverage, Cupuacu Nut Butter, lipgloss, LED light,

I loved my Illuminating Lip Gloss so much that I was thrilled to see the True Color Lip Cream, ($22, .15 fl oz.), in my package.  It has the same wonderful LED light and mirror in the packaging so that you can apply it anytime and anywhere!  You can even use the light to find things you drop in the movie theater, lol.  (Ha!  That reminds me of my friend Tracy.)

Look how bright the light is!!!

LED light, mirror, full coverage, long wear, Capuacu nut butter

Lip checking mirror:

LED light, mirror, full coverage, long wear, Capuacu nut butter

Really Red Lip Cream is a classic red color.  It can be worn by all skin tones and types.  It is THE perfect red.  It will definitely get noticed, as you will when you wear it.  The great thing about this color and formula for me is that it doesn't run into lip lines.  Red pigments are traditionally the thinest and runniest of all the pigments, making red a lot of work for those of us with lip lines.  I've been wearing this by itself, no liner or special touch-ups needed.  Do you hear that, over 40 people??  IT DOESN'T RUN!!!  The formula is just perfect for staying in place.  The color is perfect and the formula is perfect.  This is, by far, the best liquid lipstick type of formula I've ever used.  And you can feel that it's hydrating, too!  ILOVE THIS GLOSS!!!

You will also love the ingredients.  The cupuacu nut butter, organic neroli and mandarin oils are nourishing plant oils that will condition your lips leaving them more hydrated  and yet wear longer than you'd ever imagine.

Here is the official list of ingredients for the lip cream:
rincus communis (castor seed oil), olive (olea europea oil), cera alba (beeswax), stearalkonium hectorite, silica silylate, theobroma grandiflorum (cupuacu seed butter), propylene carbonate, citrus reticulata (red mandarine oil),citrus aurantium oil (neroli oil). may contain: titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci 77491, 77492, 77499) red 7 lake (ci 15850:1) mica (ci 77019) red 6 lake (ci 15850) red 40 lake (ci 16035), manganese violet (ci 77742)

Lip swatch:

LED, classic red, lipgloss

You may have noticed that the nail polish makes a great match for the lip cream.  Gosh, these are both just perfect classic red colors.  The Light On Your ToesLight Up Nail Polish, ($15, 15 ml), I received to sample is #1 Red,  It's so beautiful, so classic, and you see before you two coats.

LED light, big 3 free

I love this red!!!  Really.  Truly.  Totally.  I rarely ever wear red, but I will more often now.  This is the perfect neutral red that anyone can wear.  It was perfect for the holiday season and it will be perfect for your upcoming Valentine's Day festivites.  Seriously, just get this.

The nail polish also has the built-in LED light.  GENIUS!!!  Gosh, don't you always wish there was just one more light when you're doing your nails?  I sure do.  With Beauty For Real, just click the button on top and there you go!  Polish away!

LED light, Big 3 free

LED light, big 3 free

LED light

I had this polish on for three days and then got my first chip in the shower.  BUT, I have to tell you, I forgot to put down the Orly Bonder that I always use as a base coat.  Ooops, my bad.  Three days with no base coat is GREAT!!  The Beauty For Real nail polishes are Big 3 Free.

The middle item in the first picture is the Get Glowing Cheek Tint and Luminizer, ($29, 8 gr).  Both are cream products housed in the same container.  The trays swing out so that you can access one or both items at a time and there is also a mirror.  The color set I have is called Get Lit / In The Pink.

In The Pink, highlight, blush, Get Lit

Beauty For Real tells me that not only have these been designed to impart color and highlight to the face but they also have anti-aging properties!!!!   I need this to come in body size!!!

I'm going to show you what the website says about the anti-aging properties.

"How does Luminera work?  As the transparent particles come into contact with the skin, the DIAMOND CORE COMPLEX transforms invisible UV light and works to DRAMATICALLY DIMINISH the expression of wrinkles, discolorations, imperfections, rendering a more YOUTHFUL, even toned and healthy appearance.  Vitamin E and grape-seed extracts provide anti-aging benefits and antioxidant protection."

Let me show you my swatches of the cheek tint and luminizer and the lip cream.  The pictures I took while wearing it on my face washed out the cheek color unfortunatly.  I had a high SPF in my foundation and the glow off SPF tends to wash out the other colors you're wearing, so unfortunately, you won't really see much on me, even though it looked nice in person.

Really red, lipgloss, blush, highlighter, Get Lit, In the Pink

Get Lit, the luminizing highlighter, is on the far left.  It's a beautiful light champagne color.  Very pretty on!!!  In The Pink is the cream color pictured in the middle.  It's a great fresh pink that gives the wearer a nice healthy glow.  These last at least 6 hours on me.  I don't know if they last longer because I'm usually washing my face by that point these days.  Pictured on the far right is the Really Red Lip Cream.

The ingredients in the Cheek Tint and Luminizer, (both of which can be worn to impart color or glow anywhere):
caprylic/capric triglyceride, isophropyl isostearate, polmethyl methacrylate, phenyl dimethicone, hydrogenated castor oil/coplymer, tribemenin, nylon-12, microcrystalline wax, hydrogenated polycyclopentadiene, ozokerite, polymethylsilsesquioxane benzimidazole diamond co-polymer, polyethylene, sorbitan sesquioleate, oleic acid, tocopheryl acetate, vanillin, pomegranate, bht, may contain: mica (ci 77019), titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci77491, 77492, 77499), bismuth oxychloride, carmine (ci 75470), red 7 lake (ci 15850:1), yellow 5 lake (ci 19140) - See more at:

So one day, I was wearing these great products and decided to head out shopping.  I took some gratuitous pictures first so that you could see the products in action.  You can even can get a hint of the blush and luminizer.  Seriously, how perfect is the Really Red Lip Cream?

lipgloss, cheek tint, luminizer

I took a few pictures, got ready to head out, when...SUDDENLY.......

blush, LED light, luminizer, highlight, lipgloss

I got a GREAT idea for my husband's birthday, which is coming up.  Ahem, notice how perfectly the nail color matches the lip cream!!!  FANTASTIC!!

It's a great idea that I have, so you are sworn to secrecy!!!  Don't tell!!!!

lipgloss, cheek tint, blush, luminizer, highlighter

You can purchase Beauty For Real on their website.  Be sure to check the Gift Set section where you can buy different groupings that go together.  You can find my matching lipgloss cream and nail polish offered as a set in there was well.  Easy peasy!!  I love that things are matched up for us or we can purchase them individually too!  Remember your friends and Beauty For Real for Valentine's!

Now before I go, having spent a significant amount of time on the Beauty For Real website, I found an amazing program that they have called Beauty And Grace.  I was very touched to read this.   I am going to share the program as laid out by the website.  There is also a spot to nominate people.  This is so fantastic!!

Beauty And Grace:
The Beauty and Grace campaign is designed to recognize women who not only look beautiful, but who are actively doing beautiful things that are positively changing other's lives. The Beauty Heroines featured here are just examples of women who represent a unique cause and how it touches them in a personal way. To honor and celebrate her outstanding contribution within the community, Beauty For Real will donate 25% of sales of her favorite BFR product from the website to her cause of choice during that month.

That's so cool!!  I love that they're doing this.  Do you have a Beauty Heroine you'd like to nominate?  Can you think of any better first world device than an LED light on your lipgloss and nail polish?  What is your favorite classic red?

I hope everyone had a great holiday season!

Softer Silkier Skin Is Yours With Dermalogica Body Therapy Essentials Set

Press Sample
Affiliate link

My body must be among the driest of skin types.  My dry skin gets itchy in winter.  In some water types, such as when I'm traveling from state to state, the water will leave me so dry that I have intense nearly unbearable itching and can't get lotion on quick enough to satisfy my skin's greediness for hydration.  I'm so pleased to tell you that there is a solution to this problem, found in the cruelty free Body Therapy Essentials set, ($25), from Dermalogica that I recently received.  Softer silkier skin is now as easy as 1, 2, 3!

skin cream, exfoliator scrub, body wash, fragrance free

The Body Therapy Essentials kit is one of the special sets put together for your Holiday 2014 gift shopping.  Pamper a friend, (but don't forget to pamper yourself!), with the aromatheraputic spa type experience gift sets.  Any of the suggesting gift giving ideas and sets will make a wonderful experience for your family, friend, boss...or even a beloved blogger, (lol).

Dermalogic was begun with a clear goal in mind.  From the website, (the emphasis is mine):  "The vision was clear – a product line free of common irritants and ingredients that could cause breakouts (including lanolin, SD alcohol, mineral oil, artificial colors and fragrances) that would improve skin health, and were only available from qualified skin care professionals trained at The International Dermal Institute."

So here comes the review:  As I stated before, this set is as easy as 1, 2, 3 to achieve softer skin, even in a dry winter!

holiday 2014, skincare, body hydrating cream, body wash, body scrub

1.  Cleanse, (pictured at the left):  the Conditioning Body Wash is a clear fluid and it smells WONDERFUL!!!  To start the three part process, apply the Conditioning Body Wash and work into a lather.  Rinse off.  The body wash has a natural scent from the combined ingredients and is definitely a unisex smell.  It is light and doesn't linger, and is clean and fresh.  The cleanser is soap free, acid balanced and infused with purifying essential oils to prevent over drying.

Ingredients in the body wash are:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Disodium Laureth, Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Chloride, Cetyl Betaine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Butylene Glycol, Quaternium-75, Quillaja Saponaria Bark Extract, Sodium PCA, Glycol Distearate, Steareth-4, Panthenol, Methyl Gluceth-20, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Disodium EDTA, Linalool, Ethylhyexylglycerin, Limonene, Phenoxyethanol.

2.  Scrub, (center):  One to two times a week, it's important to exfoliate your skin to remove the dry outer cells and make room for the new softer ones to rise to the surface.  Apply this scrub, work into a lather, and rinse.  The creamy lightly foaming body scrub exfoliates to dramatically smooth without hurting your skin.  Same great scent similar to the body wash.

Ingredients in the scrub are:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Polyethylene, Glycerin, Zea Mays (Corn) Cob Meal, PPG-2 Hydroxyethyl Coco/Isostearamide, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Cedrus Atlantica (Cedarwood) Bark Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia
(Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Husk Powder, Ficus Carica (Fig) Powder, Phoenix Dactylifera (Date) Seed, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Sorbitan Stearate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, Aminomethyl Propanol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Papain, Sodium Benzoate, Chlorphenesin, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Linalool, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Titanium Dioxide.

3.  Body Hydrating Cream. (left in picture):  This is my favorite part.  The cream is amazing.  Lotions don't do much for me, so I don't use them.  My skin needs cream to drink the moisture in.  This one immediately soaks into the skin.  It doesn't ride on top like a lot of body creams do.  You can put your clothes on immediately!!  It has a similar unisex, delightful aroma to it as the body wash.  It ALWAYS leaves my skin feeling soft and not one bit itchy!!  "Lactic and hydroxy acids in this advanced moisturizer immediately smooth and condition skin while essential plant oils soothe and soften" your skin.

Ingredients in the Body Hydrating Cream:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Potato Starch Modified, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, PEG-8 Stearate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Lactic Acid, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Symphytum Officinale Leaf Extract, Dimethicone, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil
Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, Lavandula Hybrida Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Bark Oil, Cedrus Atlantica (Cedarwood) Bark Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Limonene, Linalool, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.

I give my highest recommendation to these products. A lot of different body creams have been in my employ over my lifetime, but I've never before had a cream that just absorbed into my skin without the feeling of heaviness on the surface.   I'd like to invite you to cruise the Dermalogica website and especially keep the idea of gift giving in your mind.

Look for Dermalogica at Nordstrom and use your ten point day to earn more Nordy notes!!!!  You can use your reward points and purchase at!  And, of course, on the Dermalogica website.

I.  Can't.  Stop.  Smelling.  These.  Products!!!!!!

Which of the gift sets do you find most intruiging?  Who would you like to gift one to?

Each Week Is A New Beginning..and Some Pretty Pictures

                                  Affiliate links used

As I write this short blurb, I'm recovering from a little belly malfunction.  Never fun but it seems to happen a lot, whatever.

Anyway, my life has been very intensely crazy this year and I'm hoping it all calms down to where I can write more often, like I usually have.  Last month marked my four year blogoversary and I've got a few things up my sleeve for us to mark that event pretty soon in the midst of my reorganization and the holidays.

Many pretty pictures of things that I've received have been put on my Instagram which is full of teasers.  At any rate, there are so many events that I missed getting to tell you about due to broken bones and torn muscles since July.  I couldn't paint my nails, much less type on a computer.  I'd say I've had more than my fair share of medical drama this year, and I sure hope that 2015 brings a more manageable year, physically.

I'd love to get back to my blogging lifestyle and I hope you're all out there still.  In the meantime, this is the beautiful Camelia de Plumes Highlighting Powder put out by Chanel which I purchased from Nordstrom.

white gold, beauty, makeup, limited edition

Ooooh!  I like pretty pictures!!!!   Here are a few more teasers of things I want to tell you about.  Keep in mind, these are cell phone pictures and haven't been edited, except with the occasional Polarbelle font.

Maybelline has released a new eye palette called The Smokes as the darker sister to their The Nudes palette.  I found this at Walgreens.

You've probably heard about the four palettes that Stila released in the early fall.  Below are swatches from the Soul palette.  Beautiful eyeshadows!!!  I was able to purchase this during the Sephora Friends and Family Sale.  Discount, oh ya!

For fall, Converse released a pair of low-top chucks in a gorgeous oxblood color that I found at Journey's.  I think it's safe to say this is my favorite pair of Chucks.  I'm hoping Nordstrom will get these in so that everyone can experience the utter joy of a pair of oxblood Converse!

Why stop now?   So many beautiful products are on my camera roll in my phone.    Lookie lookie at this mini lipgloss set from Ulta.  $16 for 30 glosses!!!    What a very cool deal!  You'd better have a big stocking to hold this one!!!

I was excited to find this great Baublebar cushion cut bracelet while checking out the Nordstrom Rack.  I'll wear it with my Steve Madden spiked trio that I ordered from the Rack early this fall.  (It's back on the Rack online and only $10!!)

Also on my current list of things to do is jumping in head first to this gorgeous Bobbi Brown Pink Glow Highlighter Powder.   It's stunning.

I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you about my favorite socks!!   Arthur George by Rob Kardashian, (that name sounds reaaaally familiar...), are the cushiest socks I've ever worn.  Speaking as a person who is finicky about what goes on their feet, I can assure you that these socks feel like walking on clouds.  They're very comfortable, soft and they don't migrate!!

Nordstrom, beauty, comfort

It's really late this evening, or early this morning, and I need to sign off so I'll leave you a pretty sunset picture from my phone.  Isn't it beautiful?  There is beauty among us everywhere.

And I wanted to ask your opinion....I received a Nordstrom note today in the should I spend it???
