Becca Cosmetics x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette Swatches, Pics, Review and More

Unless this is the first beauty blog you've read, I'm sure you've heard things and seen pictures of the collaboration between Becca Cosmetics and YouTuber Jaclyn Hill called Champagne Collection.  The gem of the collaboration is the Champagne Collection Face Palette, often referred to as Champagne Glow, a Sephora exclusive.  This palette makes a stunning presentation with the white lid and glowing gold and silver specks.  It has a weight that is substantial and feels great in the palm of the hand.  There is a magnetic closure with a nice gold bar in the front center that is remniscent of a handbag closure.  A full sized mirror is inside the lid and the base of the palette is a glowing gold.  The attention to detail in this palette is simply outstanding.  And then....when one looks inside....

The palette is SO beautiful inside and out.  I had to admire the beauty of the design for three days before I could bring myself to swatch and wear it.  The Champagne Collection face palette is an absolute work of art.  At the top of the palette are three blushes; the first one being Posh Spritz, a luminous blush formula.  The  next two are Becca's mineral blush formula Amaretto and Pamplemousse.  Pictured below in the same order.

Rose Spritz has a weight of .10 oz.  To give you an idea of what that means, the full sized luminous blushes from Becca weigh .21 oz and cost $34 each.  Amaretto and Pamplemousse each weigh .12 oz, where as a full sized Becca mineral blush costs costs $32 each and weigh out at .2 oz each.  All three of these blushes are exclusive to this limited edition palette.

Rose Spritz is a beautiful easy to wear coral with a golden glow.  The luminous finish blushes just radiate glow.  From my swatch picture, you might think that it has a gold frost on top but the way these blushes are formulated, they look like a glow from within.  It's pretty amazing and, evidently, difficult to describe.

Amaretto, (in the middle), is a warm amber which can be used as blush, sculpting powder or bronzer.  I've used it both as contour and bronzer.  I thought it would be too warm for me...but despite the warm feel of it, it really worked well as both.  Pamplemousse is a beautiful coordinating coral.  All products in the palette are highly pigmented, so go easy at first until you're used to them.  I honestly believe that all skin types and colors will benefit from this palette.

Last year, Becca and Jaclyn Hill collaborated to bring a Shimmering Skin Perfector in the color Champagne Pop to the market.  The Shimmering Skin Perfectors are basically highlighters of different colors and the full sizes weigh .28 oz while retailing for $38.  The Champagne Collection features the gorgeous champagne gold skin perfector in Champagne Pop and the new exclusive Prosecco Pop, a straight up gold highlight.

I have shown a lot of pictures on Instagram and swatched it on Snapchat so how about a few swatch pictures here as well?  First, in full sunlight, from left to right Rose Spritz, Amaretto, Pamplemousse, Champagne Pop, Prosecco Pop and both highlighters combined.

I also took pictures inside with no flash.  It shows the difference in tones more than the first one but the above picture is more color accurate.

And just as a comparison, I have a picture of some of the luminous blushes next to the palette so that you get a feel for the palette's blush sizes.  It was taken on a day with high clouds.

The face palette has been put up on Sephora's site twice so far and will make a return both online and in store on June 16, 2016 and retails for $52.  There is more to the collection, such as an eyeshadow palette, a liquid Champagne Pop and a poured Champagne Pop.  I should have the eye palette today in the mail.  Woo--hoo!!  Be sure to check my social media for all my zany pics!

What are you coveting most from the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection?  All?  Nothing?  Somewhere in between?  What are you most looking forward to this summer?

  2. I'm teetering on the edge with this. I'm worried that the blushes will all be too dark. I know I want Champagne Pop though so I may just end up with that after all.

  3. I put this palette in my cart then decided to take a little time to think about it before I pulled the trigger. Went back to buy it and... Yeah. I'll be thinking about it until it is back in stock. Same with the eye palette. Sometimes, I could just kick myself.

    1. It's so wearable. I honestly wavered on it at first because I thought the shades would be too warm for me but the are so multi-dimensional that oh, I just die from how pretty they are.
