Young Nails Caption Nail Polish And Stamping Plates Review

Have you worn Caption Polish By Young Nails?  Or played with their nail art stamping plates?   If you've spied the brand in your local Ulta Beauty, chances are really good that you've been drawn to the brand as I have been.  I've purchased a few colors and stamping plates and enjoy them.  Two days before I found out I was having surgery mid-December, I received the Tinsel Time collection, a set of stamping plates and the base and top coats to try.  I had just started to play with them when I found out about the surgery and is why you are seeing this collection today.  The colors are available on the Caption Polish website where you will find the full line of Caption, as opposed to Ulta where the choices are limited.

Let's talk first about the nail polishes, (10 ml /$9.95).   The polishes I purchased previously were chosen purely by color alone.  Caption polishes dry quickly.  During application, you can tell they're not as runny as other brands.  The satins, (pictured here in light blue, vanilla, pink and purple), dry almost as you apply them, it seems.  When combined with the top coat and base coat, well, that's when the magic happens and the polishes give incredible long lasting wear.   I was truly impressed by the length of wear, not receiving any tip challenges for the first week, and totally fell in love.  And I mean I am in love with this brand!!

Let me show you the colors I received in the Tinsel Town collection.  As previously stated, these are colors in the regular line as well and can be found on the Caption Polish website.

On the far left is the gold holographic glitter called On Full Blast.  The picture just doesn't show the joy of the holo.  Both the gold and the silver, Drop The Mic, have incredible holo sparkle.  I like to wear these over one of the other colors.  The blue satin shimmer is Anywhere But Here.  The rose satin is Selfie Fulfilled Prophecy.

The lavender shimmer, Way Above Average, is my favorite polish in the collection.  It has the coolest color ever to it.  I couldn't stop staring at my fingers.  I got a lot of comments on Youtube, IG and Snapchat with a mani that I did wearing this combined with On Full Blast as an accent nail.  I'll be wearing this again soon.

The vanilla satin is named Rise & Grind.  Let's Be Frank is the incredible garnet color.  It has a depth to it that can't accurately be captured by my camera, with tone on tone and gold shimmer within.  Last but not least is the green with gold shimmer named Brave Inside.

The stamping plates are well etched.  I haven't had any trouble at all with any of the plates I've used.  Each boxed set includes the duo-ended stamper that you see above as well as a polish scraping card.  The plate sets are sold in either single or double plate sets.  Pictured on the website is the clear type of fat squishy stamper.  I don't know which one is the current stamper, but I really like the one I received.  Below is a quick mani I did in the end of January with one of the Caption stamping plates that I had purchased earlier in the year.  Both of the center fingers are stamped with Caption plates.

I really enjoy this brand.  I highly recommend the base and top coats when wearing the polishes.  I have such incredible wear with a Caption sandwich!  And the plates are really really good.  They make stamping easy and I think they're a good place to start if you've always wanted to try stamping.  They are a joy to a more experienced nail artist as well.  Caption plates made me absolutely fall in love with stamping.  The only drawback about this brand is the super small space they have in Ulta.  We're just going to need immediate access to all the colors and nail art products!!!

Follow Young Nails and Caption Polish on Instagram.  You'll probably want to follow their Facebook fan page as well.  You can purchase Caption products on their website and both in store and online at Ulta.com

Have you used Caption polishes, stamping plates or nail art products?  Have you seen them in your Ulta?

  7. I haven't seen the brand at Ulta but I have a few polishes that are just gorgeous. On Full Blast is a big favorite of mine too. I couldn't stop staring at it. I didn't get press information with the polishes so I didn't know it was a Tinsel collection. On their website they have a lot that I'd love to buy.
